Cereal fans have reacted with delight after a well-known old favourite was brought back.

It's a staple of the breakfast table - easy, quick, and stress-free to put together when you're in a bleary-eyed rush out of the door in the morning.

But while there are many types of cereal out there, people still have their firm faves, and now some cereal-lovers have been left delighted at the return of a nostalgic favourite.

Many might remember Golden Grahams, with a similar lattice-type structure to Shreddies but with a flavour somewhere in between honey and brown sugar.

The cereal became a firm favourite in the 1980s and 1990s before being discontinued in the 2000s, then again in 2021 after a return in 2010.

But now the cereal has been resurrected by Nestlé in the UK, with may fans ecstatic to be able to once again enjoy their favourite breakfast cereal, without having to catch a flight to the States.

Nestlé confirmed the return with a post on Instagram, posting a picture of the cereal along with the caption: "Guess who's back? Get ready to find none other than GOLDEN GRAHAMS back on shelves."

Many people took to social media to share their happiness at the return of Golden Grahams.

One wrote: "Bout bloody time. Now change the name of their cinnamon counterpart back to Cinnamon Grahams, merchandise them next to each other and I will finally be at peace."

Another could scarcely believe what it was that they were reading.

They wrote: "Please say this is true, I LOVE Golden Graham’s and they’ve been missing from my life for years. I hope they taste the same! When and where can I buy them???"

A third simply wrote: "Yasssss!!! Finally the world of cereal has come to its senses."

One fan had gone to extreme lengths to secure the cereal, which was still available in the US.

"Best news ever! Will save me having to schlepp them back from the USA every time we go there," they wrote.

A spokesperson from Kellogg’s told The Sun: "We love that Kellogg’s fans are so passionate about their favourite cereals and we’re proud to be a part of millions of people’s breakfasts each morning in the UK.

"We can never say never, but while there are no current plans to bring back Chocolate Corn Flakes, we do have lots of other exciting new products out now, like Kellogg’s Oaties and Bluey Multigrain cereal, with more coming next year for cereal lovers to try.”
