The so-called ‘Moses fold’ is going viral across social media, with foodies swearing they’ll ‘never eat a taco the same way ever again’.
When it comes to food ‘hacks’, everyone has their favourite. Some love cutting their pizza with scissors; others swear by adding lemon juice to an overly salted dish; and some submerge fully ripe avocados in water in the fridge to keep them fresh and perfectly ripe.
Others, like one man, like to make sure none of their taco filling falls out—no matter how full they’ve accidentally made it.
Scandinavian tacos have interesting toppings
Just like in the United States, Scandinavian tacos start with a soft flour or hard shell.
Meat eaters are likely to pack in minced beef or chicken pieces, while vegetarians and vegans may want to select soya mince or another meat-free alternative.

Usual toppings include grated cheese, guacamole, and shredded lettuce, plus tomatoes, and salsa.

However, Upworthy reported that Swedes have been known to stick pineapple, cheese doodles, mangos, pickles, and even bananas on top.
Due to this maximalist approach, it’s understandable that a foolproof wrapping method has to be employed—because let’s be real, nobody wants their taco toppings flopping out, right?
Viral ‘Moses Fold’ explained
Introducing the now-viral ‘Moses Fold’, an ingenious wrapping method first popularised on social media.
The original video, shared by travel content creators George and Dave at @bsquaredtravels_, has racked up more than 45 million views on TikTok.
The pair, who enjoy sharing global food and travel discoveries with their followers across social media, recently uploaded a quick clip of their brother-in-law sitting in front of an unwrapped tortilla.

Instead of trying the usual envelope method to encase his taco filling, the man could be seen using his fork and knife to ‘spread’ the contents across the tortilla.
After successfully parting the filling, the pair’s brother-in-law grabbed the left and right sides of it.
He appeared to press each side into the gap before essentially squishing the two halves together.
And there you have it, the simple yet effective method you can pull out at your next Taco Tuesday.
Speaking to FOODbible about the viral clip, the content creators said: “The Moses Fold is something our brother-in-law does every time they have Swedish tacos, so it’s crazy that so many people have watched the video and have recreated the hack!”

They added: “It’s a pretty simple technique but who’d have thought it would be such a game changer across the globe!”
“I’m never eating a taco the same way ever again”
Foodies have gone wild for the so-called ‘Moses Fold’, with thousands vowing they’ll be using the hack going forward.
“As a Mexican idk how to feel bout this because that’s not not right at all but at the same time that’s genius lol,” one Facebook user said.
A second reported: “It’s been 44 years and I’m just now seeing this. I’m disappointed in myself.”
“He's Swedish, that explains it. They know how to fold up big things into little containers, IKEA comes to mind,” joked someone else.
A fourth reported: “Smart because then you don’t have a back end it escapes through.”
Another added: “I’m never eating a taco the same way ever again. This is genius.”
