North West says she wants a 'regular job' and it's surprisingly down to earth
North West may only be 13, but she’s already setting her sights on her future by revealing the ‘regular’ career path she’s most interested in pursuing.
The eldest daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye ‘Ye’ West, born in 2013, has already found fame outside of her family ties by releasing her first-ever EP, N0rth4evr, earlier this year.
Featuring tracks like ‘H0w Sh0uld ! f33l’ and ‘Th!s t!m3’, the six-song extended play comes after she collaborated with her father, jumped on a track with FKA Twigs and performed at the Hollywood Bowl’s The Lion King 30th Anniversary event in May 2024.
In a new interview with Dazed, the youngster has claimed that music may not be the only avenue she’s interested in exploring in terms of work.

In fact, North said she’s ready to start working at a popular American coffee chain next year.
Speaking to the publication in a Q&A-style format, North was asked: “If you weren’t an artist, what do you think you would be?”
She responded by saying that even if she wasn’t making music, she’d still want to earn money.
“What would I be? I still wanna work. I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year. I think I can next year ’cause I’m gonna be 14, so… I think I can.
“I want to have a regular job, I guess,” she added.
North’s Starbucks admission has gripped the internet, with many praising the star for her honest, hospitality-oriented answer.
“Starbucks would be ultimate character development for somebody of her status. It would keep her humble and actually connect her with the real world. Go for it,” one X user claimed.
A second wrote: “Tbh i think it would be good for her to have an experience like that, even if she dont need the money itll give her a more realistic take on how a fast paced food/drink service place can run and how the people who work there have to bust ass.”
“She do a full 8 hr shift and might reconsider,” joked someone else. “But it’d be an experience!”
A fourth added: “You the daughter of the greatest artist of all time gang just keep making music.”

North may well end up making her barista dreams a reality, but she wouldn’t be the first famous face to try the role on for size.
Brooklyn Beckham
Back in 2015, Brooklyn Beckham made headlines following reports that his parents, Sir David and Victoria Beckham, encouraged him to get a job in a West London coffee shop.
It was claimed at the time that the pair wanted to teach their now-estranged son the value of money.
"We try to lead by example, by showing them it’s important to work hard,” the Manchester United legend said at the time.
"That’s one of the key things me and my wife have always done … We juggle everything around the family because our main priority is the children, simple as that, and it always will be, but being hardworking is the best thing you can show children.”
Tyler, the Creator
Tyler, the Creator also worked at Starbucks before making it big time.
"Starbucks was cool because I stole a lot of cheese danishes,” the former once told Jimmy Kimmel.
After explaining he got fired after two years by a woman named Cindy, he added: “I hope she's watching because I still hate her.”
Andrew Garfield
Meanwhile, actor Andrew Garfield claimed he thought working at the London branch of Starbies would help him pick up women.
"I had this idealised image of what that would be. It arrived in London, and I thought, 'Well that's the John Hughes movie I've been waiting to live within, with multiple girls reading literature with black-rimmed glasses,” he said, as per the Daily Dot.
“And I'm going to be the barista that woos them all and wins them all. They realise after a period of months that, in fact, the skinny guy is the guy to go with!”
