One of the increasingly rare joys of the internet is the occasional sneak peak into the homes of the rich and famous. Seeing how the other half lives is kind of like watching a car accident: you probably don’t want the memory, and yet you can’t look away.
If you’re interested in the lives of the Kardashians, you’ve probably spent a fair amount of time watching them hang out at home via their various TV shows and Instagram pages, but one area you might not have seen is Khloe Kardashian’s pantry.
The health-conscious mum-of-two took to her YouTube channel to share how she arranges her kitchen stock, and there were countless comments from blown-away fans.

Kardashian, 40, has over 950,000 YouTube subscribers and the video has racked up 1.3 million views in just four weeks.
She introduces the video by saying something typically relatable: “This area actually was one of my garages, and I said ‘Who needs a car’? We need a bigger pantry’.”
Who hasn’t been there?
“I wanted to look a little farmer’s markety,” she continues, although the glossy, monotone pantry doesn’t bear much resemblance to any farmer’s markets I’ve been to. Starting from the bottom, she shows off the litany of snack foods kept within reach of her kids, then says, “The higher we get, the more adulty we get.”
Here come the canned goods and jars of olives, separated on their own Lazy Susans – “Who doesn’t love a Lazy Susan?” asks Kardashian – then above those are jars of dry goods like raisins and nuts.
She picks up a jar and says, “These are from good old Amazon and I stained the lids to be grey because I’m a psychotic freak.” The effort has paid off, with the pantry looking very consistent colour-wise.
“I try to have a lot of protein snacks,” she continues, heading back down to the treats kept low-down for her kids.
“At the very bottom I stained these wooden crates just to match the colour aesthetic,” she says before moving over to the other side where a broad countertop is bedecked with countless chopping boards and a massive bowl of fruit.
“I have a plethora of cutting boards,” she says. “Yes, I use them, but I also like the way they look on my counter.”
Then she turns her attention to the bowl: “Fruit bowl and, you guys before you hate me, not all fruit is real,” she says before chinking her nails against a plastic orange.
“I do orange trees, so I do oranges, but I use fluffer, plastic fruits as well because sometimes you gotta do that.”
Sometimes you do gotta be doing that, yeah.

“Pantry DREAMMSSS,” said one comment. “I thrive for that organization and color coordination.”
“Wow,” chimed another. “If only we could all have such an amazing pantry....the dream.”
Another put themselves in some fantasy shoes: “Wow! That's the dream pantry I would want. Mine wouldn't be as organized but I would actually have room for all my food and the smaller appliances that I don't use all the time.”
