McDonald's launches 'adult happy meals' in collaboration with cult TV show

And it's coming as soon as next week...

McDonald’s Happy Meals toys are no longer just for kids as the fast-food behemoth is bringing a collaboration with a beloved US sitcom to the shores of Britain next month.

Just days into 2026 and the restaurant chain has already made its mark - what with its exciting ‘Secret Menu’ launch, return of the favoured Big Arch burger, and upcoming sweet counter overhaul.

Anyone heading down to their local outlet in the next few days will also be able to pocket pots of Big Mac sauce for 20p, and will soon be able to pick up an ‘adult Happy Meal’ present.

The new collaboration is in association with Warner Bros - which Netflix recently agreed to acquire for $72 billion in equity - and will be available to purchase from next month.

The partnership is set to bring 90s babies’ favourite show to the UK in the form of six collectable figures, as well as themed packaging.

Drum roll please: The McDonald’s x Friends collaboration is launching from Tuesday 3 February.

The Friends Meal, dubbed the ‘ultimate adult Happy Meal’ by fans, consists of a classic McDonald’s dish, such as a Big Mac, McPlant or nine Chicken McNuggets.

Accompanying the main meal will be a portion of fries and a drink, all served in a special Friends-themed box.

What's more, customers will be able to get their mitts on an exclusive, limited-edition figurine.

Collect dinky versions of your favourite Friends characters, including Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross.

Each one is unique, with Rachel holding a cup of coffee, Phoebe playing a guitar, and Monica in her iconic chef attire.

If that wasn’t enough, then a new limited-edition sauce called ‘Monica’s Marinara’ is also coming to the fast-food chain.

The dipping condiment will be served with new pizza mozzarella dippers.

Other items, such as McCafé cups and Chicken and McNugget Shareboxes, are also getting a Friends-themed makeover.

The moreish products will be houses in cartons featuring nods to New York, the sitcom characters, and the iconic orange sofa that we all know and love.

The Friends meal initially launched in Spain last year to celebrate the programme’s 30th anniversary. It’s also live in Germany, according to social media, while it's also debuted in Australia.

Plans are in place to expand into South Africa, and other European territories.

Redditors have been having their say on the new collaboration, with one typing: “Ooh omg!!!! I'll be buying that for the toy, which is a feeling I haven't felt for like 25 years.”

“Suddenly i’m getting on the next flight to Spain,” replied someone else.

A third commented: “Im legit driving to Germany tomorrow for this. Lucky for me it’s an hour drive.”

Meanwhile, a US-based fan wrote: “I’m so jealous but at the same time kind of relieved I don’t have to run around trying to collect them all.”
