Greggs has gone global after debuting its first store outside the UK, and it’s already proving to be a hit thanks to one thing Brits can’t get at home while picking up their Steak Bake: beer.
The popular chain has set up shop in the departures lounge of Tenerife’s South Airport in Spain's Canary Islands, with plans to expand elsewhere if it’s successful.
And so far, things are looking good, with Greggs lovers already sharing their glowing reviews after paying a visit.
One fan was recently drawn in after spotting the glowing lights of two draught beer pumps – something not found in UK stores.

“Just bounced inty the Greggs in Tenerife airport n it’s got Stella on tap... a degenerates paradise,” Luke Muir, 24, tweeted as he shared a short video on X.
Luke, from Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, had been on holiday with his girlfriend when he saw the deal at the airport as they went to fly home.
“I had a pint, couldn’t believe how cheap it was - I thought someone was at the wind up,” he told FOODbible.

In his video, you can see Dorada lager - the signature beer of the Canary Islands – on sale ft €3.90 for 500cl (500ml). For reference, a pint in the UK is 568ml, so it’s a decent price for the amount you get, especially for an airport.
If Dorada’s not your thing, there’s also Stella Artois at €4.20 for 50cl.

Naturally, it didn’t take long for others to clock the incredible bargain, with one commenting: “Spectacular price for airport pints.”
Another added in shock: “This must be AI those pints are too cheap for an airport.”
“Wtf hahahaha,” someone else added.
Luke admitted he’s a ‘massive fan’ of Greggs, and is usually there a ‘couple of times a week’.
He hadn’t expected his video to ‘do any numbers’ but it’s hardly surprising at prices like that.

The new Greggs has a number of other Spanish exclusive items, including a Blueberry Muffin and Spanish Omelette Breakfast Roll, with the chain saying: "It’s the Greggs you know and love, just with a sun-soaked twist."
Its popular breakfast deal is also available until midday - an hour later than its UK equivalent.
Speaking about the ambitious expansion, Roisin Currie, Greggs chief executive, said: “Tenerife South Airport is a hub for millions of UK and international passengers each year, making it the ideal location to test spreading our wings in an overseas setting.
"It's an exciting milestone for Greggs as we bring a slice of home to the Canaries, and we're confident our great-value offering will resonate just as well under the Spanish sun as it does on the UK high street."
