Sometimes those tiny tubs just aren't enough

We've all been there - you've ordered a takeaway pizza as a treat and the fighting starts over those frankly ridiculously tiny tubs of delicious garlic and herb dip.

Sure, you can shell out and upgrade to a slightly bigger pot measuring in at 100g, but if you're like us that's still not enough - plus, what happens when you decide to be good and have an oven pizza or try and make your own and you can't order the dip with it?

Well, now you can save yourself the squabbles by pouring drizzling garlic and herb sauce to your heart's content, thanks to this whopping 1 litre bottle you can order on Amazon.

Sure, the label says 'dip' or 'drizzle', but we won't judge you if you want to drown your pizza in it, and if anyone says otherwise, frankly you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

When ordering from Domino's, the dip normally comes in a teeny-weeny 25g pot, or you can upgrade to the 100g pot for around £2.49.

In comparison, you can get 10 times the amount of the biggest pot for £13.79, which works out at £1.38 per 100ml instead (almost half price). Bargain!

Now it's worth noting that this bottle of dip is inspired by the pizza chain, but the reviews say it's as close as you can get get to the real thing, plus you don't have to be stingy.

What are customers saying?

One happy shopper wrote: "I absolutely love the Domino's garlic and herb dip, I always get a dozen big and small dips to keep in the fridge for whenever I'm craving it, but I don't order regularly enough to keep my cravings at bay and the prices also ramp up fast, so imagine my surprise when I found I could just buy a giant bottle and order it more regularly than I place orders."

Another rated the taste as '10/10', and we admire their enthusiasm as they said it 'compliments lots of different food, not just pizza'.

After all, what's to stop you going to town with some chicken nuggets or whacking some chips in the air-fryer to dip in the sauce?

A cult classic

So why do we all love the sauce so much? According to Domino's, the garlic and herb dip is 'a variation on the classic garlic mayo served with French cuisine. We balance out the heady garlic and herb notes with lemon juice and parsley.' Well, whatever they put in it, it's certainly addictive.

In 2023, Domino's revealed that garlic-obsessed Brits ate enough of the dip to fill an impressive 17 Olympic-sized swimming pools. You might not want to swim in it though.

For Easter this year, they even released a garlic & herb easter egg that wasn't for the faint-hearted: they infused white chocolate eggs with garlic.

That's maybe pushing the creativity too far for us, with one TikTok user calling it a 'crime'.

After Domino's had to recall the dip temporarily due to peanut allergies, one determined seller listed one for £9,999 on an auction site, such is our love for the condiment.

Needless to say, £13.95 for a whole 1 litre bottle is much better value for money.

Happy dipping!
