The home of the Whopper has had a big run of new menu items lately, most notably the addition of the incredibly satisfying Kansas BBQ Chicken Fries.
But the house of the King isn’t done with its summer refresh just yet. In collaboration with Universal Pictures, Burger King is releasing four new menu items inspired by the upcoming How to Train Your Dragon Film.
The movie-inspired grub will be available from May 27th 2025, with the film swooping into your local cinema from June 9th in the UK.

Considering Burger King’s reputation for flame-grilled patties, it’s definitely an appropriation co-promotion. The new film is live-action remake of the 2010 original, following the story of a boy who befriends a dragon amidst a society at war with the fire-breathing beasts. If the original is anything to go by, it should be a hell of a flick.
But anyway, onto the meat of the matter. Let’s take a look at these new menu items at Burger King.
Dragon Flame-Grilled Whopper
This riff on a BK classic features a quarter-pound beef patty on a red-and-orange marbled bun with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, gherkins, onions, ketchup and mayo. It’s not far off the regular Whopper, but the fire-stylised bun – made as such with natural spices and vegetables – is sure to get you in the mood for some dragon action.
Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries
Alongside the flame-inspired Dragon Whopper, BK is launching some spicy mozzarella fries to bring the heat. With mozzarella cheese, peppers, and breading infused with Fiery Calabrian chili peppers, they come served in a unique box inspired by the film’s star dragon, Toothless.
Soaring Strawberry Lemonade
You’ll something to wash down the flame-grilled burger and spicy mozzarella fires, and this tangy-but-yet lemonade is the perfect option. Made with real fruit juice, this pink lemonade is a fun riff on an old classic.

Viking’s Chocolate Sundae
For dessert, finish things off with a healthy dollop of ice cream. This sundae comes with chocolate syrup drizzled over vanilla soft serve, and it’s got a garnish of black and green cookie crumbs inspired by Toothless’s black scales and green eyes.
“At BK, we love to bring partnerships to life that create an awesome experience for families. Our new collaboration with How to Train Your Dragon is going to be fun for both kids and kids at heart,” said Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King US&C, in a press release.
“Our team has created a delicious menu inspired by the beloved characters and themes of this exciting new movie that brings that experience to Burger King restaurants.”
