Hooters is an American restaurant brand known for its diner-style grub and servers who typically sometimes wear revealing tops.
As a result, tips from certain sections of society tend to be pretty good.
The brand has struggled to mirror its US success in the UK, with just a handful of chains and tentative expansion plans.

Regardless of whether it’s the kind of establishment you could see yourself eating at, it’s a brand that has a few celebrities amidst its alumni list.
Celebrated stand-up comedian, podcaster, and TV fixture Katherine Ryan has previously said her time working at the chain was fun and lucrative.
Current Hooters workers often share their experiences via TikTok, with one revealing some staggering taking from a four-hour shift.
Posting on @maiaaamarieee, Maia Marie invited followers to ‘work a bar shift’ with her at Hooters in May 2024, working from 4pm to 8pm.
It was a busy afternoon, stymying Maia’s attempts to film much of the ensuing action.
The clip features a regular who brought her a cheesecake, though she’s too busy to dive into it whilst making and serving drinks.
At the end of the shift, Maia counts up her tips to reveal a staggering final pay packet for the day: $451 (£340).
That figure includes her wages, which Glassdoor estimates to be somewhere between $12 (£9) and $17 (£12.80) per hour. In other words, she made about $400 (£301) in tips alone.
"This is your sign to apply to Hooters," she said whilst fanning herself with her takings.
"4-8?! That's amazing hours as a bartender whaaat!!! And you closed?! I love that for you fr," said one commenter.
"Gimme a dollar... plz," said another.

A third asked: "$451… what am I doing with my life?"
She’s certainly not alone as far as TikTok Hooters tips are concerned. In February 2024, a server named Jordan shared how she raked in $298.66
Taking to her page on 24 February, another server named Jordan revealed she worked a 11-5 shift at the bar and received a whopping $298.66 (£225) in tips over a six-hour shift.
If this news has you deeply considering applying to work at the planned Hooters in Newcastle, you’re not alone.
