These Nando's cocktails are still ready and waiting for you in 2025

The high street restaurant’s summer 2023 menu additions were rolled out to dozens of Nando's around the country.

It doesn’t take much sunlight to get many of us dreaming of lazy summer afternoons with a cocktail in hand.

Since summer 2023, the much-loved PERi-PERi outlet Nando’s has had a pair of frozen options on its menu. Originally added as trial menu items, they’ve since been made available at a huge swathe of Nando’s outlets.

The Sunset Slushie is a fruity blend of vodka, peach liquor, vanilla, pineapple and mango – a great way to wash down your Lemon and Herb chicken pitta.

The PERi-cante is for the braver Nando’s diners – we’d estimate it’s suitable for anyone ordering Medium spice or greater – with vodka, mezcal, lime, and a hint of chilli for a bit of extra zing.

As these are slushy cocktails, the main gripe is that you can’t chug one without getting some serious brain freeze.

As of April 2025, they’re available at so many Nando’s restaurants around the country that we can’t list them all here. Check out the full list here.

Both cocktails come in 190ml glasses and have up to 7.7% ABV

Soon after they launched, Julia Banim wrote about her taste tests in The Mirror.

Of the Sunset Slushie she said: “This is a satisfyingly thick, slightly syrupy treat of a drink that will delight anyone with a particular penchant for fruity cocktails.

“My partner remarked that it put him in mind of a Solero, and indeed it did bring back summer memories of sucking the last remnants of melted ice lolly while sitting out at the park on a scorching summer's day.”

She was equally impressed with the spicy PERi-cante: “As someone who loves cocktails with a spicy twist, I was in absolute heaven. The heat is balanced out nicely with the cool zestiness of the lime, while the smokiness of the mezcal adds something a little extra.

“Overall, the PERI-cante, which is Nando's take on the classic Picante, tastes more like something you'd order at an upmarket cocktail bar than at a family-friendly chain restaurant and was my favourite by far out of the two.”
