The late 90s and early to mid-00s saw Lindsay Lohan on top of the world.

Iconic roles in The Parent Trap, Mean Girls, and Freaky Friday propelled her to megastardom, although her prominence in Hollywood faded amidst box office flops, legal troubles, and stints in rehab.

After some time away from the cinema spotlight, Lohan has made a recent return to the big screen. Since appearing in 2022’s Falling for Christmas, her career has started to build up fresh momentum and she’s now due to appear in the forthcoming Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday.

The 38-year-old is reprising her role from the original film alongside co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, who herself recently won her first Oscar with the Best Supporting Actress award for Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Her return to the spotlight is exciting for anyone who missed her acting chops and powerful screen presence, and some have been excited to see her looking so vital after years of alcohol and drug issues.

In a profile with Elle, the fashion and beauty outlet paid particular attention to her glamorous looks.

“I have to say, Lindsay, I’ve been staring at your skin this whole time,” said Elle’s Chloe Fineman. “You look amazing. Can you tell us your secrets?”

For Lohan, the question gave her pause for thought.

“Oh, God, I don’t even know how to answer that,” she said before going into detail about her diet.

“I drink this juice every morning. It’s like carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, apple. I also drink a lot of green tea, a lot of water. I’m a big pickled beets person, so I put them in almost everything,” she explained.

As for her skin, she said she takes particular care with it. “My skin care is very specific,” she said. “I’m trying out some serums now that I’m doing—I’m testing them.

“Also, I’m a big believer in ice-cold water on your face when you wake up. I drink lemon juice a lot; I also put tons of chia seeds in my water. Eye patches, I do every morning. I’m into lasers.”

Lasers! Fineman agreed that they’re ‘life-changing’, to which Lohan responded: “There’s a new at-home one I saw that Julianne Moore was using that looked really good. It’s good for around your mouth. I’ve heard it all.”

As far as defying age goes, Julianne Moore’s routine is certainly a good place to start.

Freakier Friday hits theatres in the UK on August 8th 2025.
