Kim Kardashian has made an awkward admission about the price of milk.
The celebrity appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she revealed that, shockingly, she may be a little out of touch with what life is like for people who aren't billionaire superstars.
The podcast hosted by Alex Cooper sees her sitting down with A-listers to get an inside look into their lives.
And with Kim Kardashian it seemed that there was something that she wasn't quite clear about which the average person would know pretty much straight away.

It is of course the price of milk, a common metaphor for describing someone as out of touch with reality.

Normally the expression 'they wouldn't know the price of milk' is used as an amusing caricature - someone who doesn't have to do their own grocery shopping so wouldn't know how much it costs.
But it seems that in the case of Kim Kardashian, who is reportedly worth around $1.7 billion, the caricature is actually real, as the discussion on the podcast got to the price of milk.

Answering the question Kardashian began to trail off a little, saying: "I don't have a concept of what like certain simple things cost, which really is, you know..."
Then in an apparent attempt to rescue the moment, she added: "I'd like to know a little bit more about what like a milk carton costs."
Nothing a quick trip to the grocery store couldn't fix!
The question came up during a game of 'Confess or Text' on the podcast, where the celebrity was asked how much she spends on 'glam' each year.

She began by answering bluntly, saying "Well, a lot."

But then Kardashian revealed that a lot of the beauty budget which is associated with The Kardashians is actually paid for by Hulu, so she's not sure of the exact cost, a move which the host Cooper called 'smart'.
When the pair threw around an estimate of around $1 million a year, Cooper said: “You know? I don't think I'd be surprised at that."

Of course, Kim Kardashian is far from the only rich person who has struggled with naming the price of a bottle of milk, or perhaps another common household item such as a budget loaf of bread.
Former UK prime minister Boris Johnson was asked to name the price of a loaf of value bread in 2013, when he was still Mayor of London.
After making a couple of guesses, the former PM then replied with his characteristic bluster: "I could tell you the price of a bottle of champagne."
