Wicked actor Jeff Goldblum has sparked controversy by explaining the unconventional way he eats meals in the comfort of his own home and on tour.
The 73-year-old sat in with British musician Jessie Ware and her mother, Lennie, on the latest episode of their Table Manners podcast to discuss pescatarianism, Jurassic Park and his upcoming UK and European tour.
During the chat, the narrator of the new PBS Henry David Thoreau documentary spoke at length about subverting standard starter, main, and dessert rules.
“I like everything together,” Goldblum said on the episode, first broadcast on 9 June.

“In Italy when I say ‘Bring it all together’, they say, ‘First course, second course.' No, no, no, give it to me altogether!’ I’ll have the fish and the pasta together.

“And, as a matter, of fact, listen to this: I like dessert at the same time.”
The Ware daughter-mother duo sounded visibly shocked at the musician’s confession, prompting him to say: “You don’t have to do it today.”
He continued: “That’s why I like room service. I say ‘No, no, don’t save the ice [cream], the sorbet until later. Bring it up now’. Because I will go: savoury, savoury, sweet, back to savoury, then I will have a little dessert.
“Isn’t that crazy? But it becomes even more radical because at home sometimes I go into the refrigerator when I’m not trying to be more human… I take everything out of the refrigerator at the same time.”
Goldblum said that his wife, Emilie Livingston, a former Olympic gymnast, will ask him if he wants to ‘heat’ his food up, to which he apparently replied: “No, no. So I take it all out.”

Fans of the Hollywood legend have been quick to comment on his penchant for flavours, with one tying: “Heating up is definitely not necessary….I like the idea of having dessert at the same time, thanks!”
“I love the savoury, savoury sweet idea,” echoed someone else, while a third chimed in: “We listen and we don’t judge this handsome man.”
Another argued: “So how do you taste each dish’s flavour if you’re mixing a salad of all dishes????!!”
“That is absolutely insane. Enjoy and savor each bite. Listen to Pete Welles re cuisine,” a fifth said.
A sixth Instagram user joked: “TEMU Anthony Bourdain.”
This isn’t the first time that Goldblum has given an in-depth interview about his eating habits.
In 2018, the actor spoke at length on the Dinner SOS podcast by Bon Appétit about how he builds his frozen yoghurt bowls.
When asked how he ‘takes’ the delight, he told journalist Adam Rapoport: “I get a medium-sized cup and then I go down the line.
“I get anything that appeals to me, and it’s different every time. About six or seven flavors usually.
“I hit the handle for a second and go to the payment area with a bunch of little dabs. It looks like a Van Gogh painting of some kind,” the father-of-two recounted.
“I don’t put any of the toppings on. Then I spoon it and I go, “You know, they all taste the same.”
