Gordon Ramsay has detailed an ‘accidental’ run-in he had with Dame Joan Collins, admitting he once decided to haul her out of a restaurant.

Fans of the 59-year-old are aware that he is never one to mince his words, having most recently weighed in on the Beckham family feud, revealing that one day the ‘penny would drop’ for Brooklyn.

In recent months, the Hell’s Kitchen legend has detailed an ‘embarrassing’ sports bra moment that led him to rethink his lifestyle, issued a damning warning about the hospitality industry, and hit out at a new food trend that he’s less than impressed with.

Last week, the Iron Man completist appeared on an episode of The Graham Norton Show to reveal he once kicked Collins, 92, out of his own establishment.

The celebrity chef announced the ‘accident’ on the long-running BBC programme, which also featured One Battle After Another’s Benicio del Toro, actress Jennifer Garner, and singer-songwriter Charli XCX.

Ramsay clarified that rather than the Dynasty icon doing anything untoward, it was actually the person she was dining with who was the issue.

However, because they were asked to leave, Collins had to exit as well.

So, who was the diner that the father-of-six did not want in his establishment?

Apparently, it was a critic who had ‘absolutely panned’ the eatery in the press - only for them to turn back up ‘literally a few months later’.

“And I said to this critic, ‘Thanks, but no thanks,” he recalled.

Ramsay said that he apologised to Collins after the ordeal, remarking on how ‘hard’ it can be to be judged by the media.

“It’s hard, though, isn’t it, when you’re under that kind of criticism, when you’re being judged by individuals that know less about food than you,” he added.

The Kitchen Nightmares favourite also discussed the moment he had to chuck the Land of the Pharaohs alumna out in his new Netflix docuseries, Being Gordon Ramsay.

The six-part reality series goes behind the scenes of Ramsay’s ambitious opening of 22 Bishopsgate, and features almost all of his children, including Holly and Strictly Come Dancing’s Tilly Ramsay.

In Being Gordon Ramsay, the star alleged that the food critic had a ‘brutal personal vendetta’ against him, and after walking in with Collins, he didn’t think he would ‘have the balls to do anything to him’.

“And yeah, I couldn't wait for him to sit down, get the menu, time 20 minutes and ask him to get the hell out of that restaurant because whether you're with Joan Collins or sat with the queen, you're still going out, mate – you're not sitting here,” he continued.

“I know it was wrong, but that's what happens when women like Joan Collins come to dinner with k***heads.”
