Timothée Chalamet was handed a ‘Chipotle Celebrity Card’ whilst courtside for the New York Knicks - and he’s not the only industry icon to be granted unlimited burritos by the brand.
You may already be aware, but the Knicks are currently on an unprecedented 12-game winning streak following Danhausen’s gracious decision to ‘uncurse them’ earlier this year.
The WWE star claimed on Thursday (4 June) that the team will go into Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs curse-free as a check from NBA analyst Stephen A Smith for ‘real human monies’ successfully cleared at the bank.
Chalamet, 30, who allegedly skipped this year’s Met Gala to support the side, has been ever-present on celebrity row this season, with long-term partner, Kylie Jenner, and other famous faces, such as actor Ben Stiller, ‘Free Bird’ hitmaker Lenny Kravitz, and filmmaker Spike Lee, joining him.

During the team’s bout against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on 21 May, the Marty Supreme star was gifted one of the most coveted prizes in the food industry.
The New York-born icon was given a ‘Chipotle Celebrity Card’, an item often presented to athletes, artists, and musicians who live, breathe, and regularly order from the beloved grab-and-go joint.
“Chipotle courtside? Thank you. My name’s on it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Chalamet could be heard saying in a now-viral clip.
According to the brand, the four-time Oscar-nominee earned the voucher after sharing an image of his order via Instagram.

Now that Chalamet is in possession of a Chipotle Celebrity Card, he can head into any store every day for a full year and order a meal on the house.
Whatever entrée he selects will come with chips, a side, and a drink, according to the company.
He will also be able to place one catering order for up to 50 people during the next 365 days.
An exclusive roster of stars has been gifted a Chipotle Celebrity Card over the years, with Chalamet being the latest.
"To be considered for a Celebrity Card, you must be an authentic fan of Chipotle and organically be sharing your passion for the brand in everyday life," Candice Beck, director of social and influencers at Chipotle, previously told Business Insider.
Only the most ‘dedicated fans and those who continue to celebrate the brand’, may get a Celebrity Card, with the company evaluating their status annually.
So essentially, if Chalamet doesn’t use it, he will definitely lose it.

The Dune star follows in the footsteps of the inaugural superfan, the late and great Ozzy Osbourne, who received a pass in 2003 after he called the fast-food brand his ‘favourite, favourite burrito joint’.
In an episode of The Osbournes, the rocker claimed he ate two burritos every day and dubbed himself ‘Burrito Man’.

It’s not known what the ‘Crazy Train’ singer’s go-to burrito order was—only that he was an absolute fanatic for the Mexican-inspired delight.
In 2022, Diplo revealed via TikTok that he was the proud owner of a Chipotle burrito card.
However, instead of heading into his local joint and picking up a meal for himself, he decided to treat 100 people behind him to free food.

He claimed that he just ‘hung out’ in his local eatery while everyone got their free food, leaving many customers to scratch their heads in confusion.
The DJ, whose real name is Thomas Wesley ‘Wes’ Pentz Jr., wrote in the caption: “Everyone is a celebrity when I’m at Chipotle”.

Singer and influencer Addison Rae was handed her Chipotle Celebrity Card in 2020 by none other than Tony Hawk, who has been a golden ticket holder himself since 2013.
The 25-year-old was presented with the gift card alongside a Chipotle-themed skateboard and a personal thank you from Hawk for helping young girls get into skateboarding.
"I think it's really cool that you're introducing skateboarding to a new generation of especially girls,” he stated.

“Because it is the great equalizer and it's all-inclusive and I feel like if kids can just see how fun it is and what it can do for them, they'll want to do it. And, I feel like you're really promoting that well. It's really cool.”
In the same year, Chipotle teamed up with the Birdman to offer his go-to order exclusively to app and website users.
The item, dubbed the Tony Hawk Burrito, featured:
Back in October 2012, USWNT legend and global sports superstar Abby Wambach announced via X, then known as Twitter, that she had achieved celebrity status within the ranks of Chipotle.

“So Chipotle today told me I was getting a gold card that I get free burritos for life. Happiest day ever. #nojoke.”
The announcement closely followed the now-retired star being named player of the London 2012 Olympics after the USA picked up its fourth gold medal following a win over runners-up Japan
‘The Cure’ singer, Olivia Rodrigo, previously revealed via Instagram that she had an unlimited burrito card, calling it her ‘most prized possession’ at the time.

It’s not currently known when the 23-year-old was handed the prize or whether she is still considered a value member of the Chipotle family.
Rapper Big Sean claimed at one point in his life he was eating Chipotle every day, reasoning that it kept him ‘fueled’.
“My go-to Chipotle order is the salad bowl with extra rice and either chicken or barbacoa depending on what I had the last time and no guac for me,” he said in 2015, as per GQ.

The star claimed the first time he ever tried the chain was when he was working on Graduation in the studio with Kanye ‘Ye’ West.
“I remember Ibn Jasper asked me, ‘Do you want Chipotle?’ and I said ‘What's that?’ and he looked at me and said ‘Bro, I have to take you right now’ and the rest is history! That was 2007!”
His dedication earned him a VIP card—and if that’s not motivation, I don’t know what is.
