Pizza must be a contender for being the world’s favourite food. They’re versatile, delicious, and come in all manner of varieties.
But even the most ardent pizza fan might balk at the idea of eating one every day, though. As scrumptious as they are, there’s a boatload of carbohydrates in the dough alone, and that’s before we consider the salt, fat, and processed meats typical to a pizza pie.
Such concerns have gone over one person's head, perhaps, as he claims to have eaten at least a slice of the stuff every day now for seven years.

The man in question is Kenny Wildes from Connecticut, USA, and he began the not-medically-approved diet off the back of a colleague’s dare.
"I used to work for a company that looks after heating and cooling systems,” Wildes told the Guardian.
"My colleague and I would be on the road all day, and the quickest thing for me to grab to eat was a pizza.
"One day, he said: 'I bet you couldn’t eat it every day for a week'. I rose to the challenge with ease. He then extended the bet to a month. By the end, I felt I could go for longer."
And go for longer he did, with the son of a pizzeria-owner claiming he’s scarfed some down every day for seven years.

While he’ll often eat a whole pizza, he’ll sometimes only eat one slice in order to keep the streak going.
Given the size of American portions, it’s fair to say Wildes’ stomach has been put through its paces.
However, despite loading up on the doughy goodness every day, Wildes has somehow avoided becoming doughy himself.
"I'm actually pretty skinny,” he said.
"I guess I can thank my metabolism for that.
"Sometimes people will get in touch with concerns about the healthiness of my habit, but I'm fit and healthy."
Wildes now shares his pizza exploits via his Instagram account, @ctpizzaman, where he has over 67,000 followers.
"It's the perfect job for me, as I can travel and try pizzas from all over the country," he said.
“This spring, I had pizza in 10 different US states. I also went to Las Vegas for a pizza convention.
"My favourite crust is the thick, crispy and chewy style from New Haven. The city has the best pizza I’ve ever tried.
"I love eating at a place called Sally's Apizza, which has been open since 1938.
"The sauce is like nothing I’ve ever had, and the coal-fired oven puts the perfect char on the crust."
His former colleague is still a semi-regular fixture in his life.
"He laughs and calls me crazy, but is impressed that I’ve kept it up all these years,” said Wildes.
"I think people find it hard to understand why I do it, and just how much I love pizza - but it’s as simple as that.
"I’ll continue my streak as long as I’m still excited about pizza, and I’m happy to enjoy my delicious journey, one bite at a time."
He's added into his Instagram bio that he's trying to make it into the Guinness World Records, so maybe now his choice of cuisine for such a long stint makes more sense.
