Everyone is saying the same thing about the food prices at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, with Redditors calling it a ‘great deal’.

Seven days into the competition, and a wealth of headlines have dominated the Game.

These include: the first legal back somersault being landed on Olympic ice, Lindsey Vonn ‘making progress’ after undergoing a third leg operation, and French biathlete Julia Simon winning gold less than four months after being convicted of committing credit card fraud against a national team-mate.

Food has also been central to online conversation, with athletes utilising social media to show off gastronomic choices at Milano-Cortina.

Eggs, bacon, yoghurts, and different types of milk are also available for the sportspeople to chow down on.

Measnwhile Canadian Women’s Hockey player Natalie Spooner and Canadian Speed Skater Courtney Sarault have been sampling desserts.

The former has uploaded various videos tasting chocolatey sweet treats, while Sarault shared a clip claiming she’d discovered the 2026 version of the Summer Olympics muffin, popularised by swimmer Henrik Christiansen.

And now the prices of what the athletes are eating at the Games have been revealed - and social media has a lot to say about the matter.

How much does food costs at the Winter Olympics

According to photos shared on social media, people can pick up a pizza topped with nduja for €9, while margherita, ham and cheese, and vegetarian options are priced at €8.

Gluten-free sandwiches also cost €8, while crisps and popcorn will be available for €3 and €2.50, respectively.

Other smaller snacks available for purchase include: candy €2, muffins €3.50, and gluten-free brownies €4.

A cheeseburger, cheese and bacon chicken burger or veggie burger costs €10, while a hot dog is €8.

In terms of drinks, Americano coffee and cups of tea are available for €3 and alcoholic drinks are priced from €8 for prosecco and €9 for spritz cocktails.

What social media is saying about prices

Redditors have been weighing in on the ‘startling’ food prices, with one typing: “Honestly it’s cheaper than I would have expected”.

Another claimed: “Secret's out now that food in Europe is way cheaper than in the US, even with a weak dollar.”

“A LOT cheaper. It'll be 3x for the American games,” commented someone else.

A fourth reported: “EU event food prices are shockingly cheap by US standards. I got 2 burgers 2 water and a beer for under 20 Euro at the red bull ring for F1 not too long ago. US pro sports the beer alone is about 20.”

“As a Californian this is a GREAT DEAL! Make America EUROPE Again!” joked a fifth user.
