The moment in which a car crashed into a restaurant was caught on camera by two influencers filming themselves eating a meal.

Nina Santiago, who has over 234,000 Instagram followers and around 400,000 YouTube subscribers as ‘Nina Unrated’, was filming herself and boyfriend Patrick Blackwood as they tried the restaurant’s slider sandwiches.

Out of nowhere, at around 4:40pm local time in Houston, Texas, an SUV barrelled into the CuVee’s Culinary Creations and shattered glass over the pair.

The impact sent both Blackwood and Santiago flying into the aisle and knocked over their table.

“Tomorrow is not promised,” Santiago said in a social media post whilst sharing images of her bloodied face and arms following the incident.

“I’m beyond grateful to be alive after an SUV crashed through the glass wall at CuVee’s Culinary Creations in Houston, TX, shattering everything while Patrick Blackwood and I recorded an eating show,” she said.

“It hit us directly, me on his left, him on my right, as I bit into a delicious salmon slider. Out of nowhere, but we survived.

“This experience showed me who truly matters; life’s too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you. This could’ve been our last meal,” she wrote.

“Thankful to the universe and our angel pup Loyal, who passed in Nov 2024 and protected us from above.”

“So happy y’all are ok!!!” said a fan on Instagram.

“Y’all are really blessed. Definitely protected by God!!!” added another.

“That had to hurt! They’re so lucky the car didn’t go through the building. Was this a drunk driver?” said a YouTube comment on footage shared by KPRC 2 Click2Houston.

“Thank God these two people were able to walk away from this, I sure do wish them well,” said another. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they have nightmares from this, it’s scary, now when I go out to sit and eat in a restaurant, I won’t forget about this video and my seating choices.”

“You guys better hire a really nice attorney. That case is worth a lot,” added someone with an eye for a lawsuit.

According to The Post, a spokesperson for Harris County Sheriff’s office said: “The female driver of the vehicle advised that she thought she had placed the vehicle in park and upon releasing her foot off the brake, the vehicle rolled into the business, striking the building, and breaking the glass.

“There were two people inside the business, one male and one female, sitting inside in a booth that were injured and transported to a local area hospital.”
