Few things get the internet’s chin wagging quite like Taylor Swift saying something cryptic, and right now there’s a lot of buzz among the Swifties over a potential Super Bowl appearance from the billionaire heartbreaker.
We’re still a way out from the next Super Bowl, slated for 14 February 2027, and so the Halftime Show’s headline act is still very much under wraps. But with a new album on the way, all the star power in the world, and a much-followed relationship with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, she’s about as close to a shoo-in as they come.

Swift announced the upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Kelce’s brother’s podcast New Heights last week, along with naming the track list. She also discussed her new hobby, making sourdough, and it’s this little nugget that’s got fans speculating over the Super Bowl.
After all, Swift is about five years late to the sourdough-making hype, so it’s a little odd that it’s only now that the 35-year-old has admitted to it having ‘taken over my life in a huge way’. She said she’s thinking about it ‘60% of the time now’, too.
“I'm just, like, always baking bread and texting my friends and being like, ‘Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback. Do you like this one better than you liked the other one? Like, I did the rise a little differently,” she said.
So, why would this have a link to Super Bowl LX?
For starters, it’ll be happening at the San Francisco 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, with the team’s mascot being Sourdough Sam.
Then there’s the fact she’s giving up ‘60%’ of her thinking space to the bread hobby, with the upcoming Super Bowl being the 60th edition.
She also thanked Jason Kelce for ‘screaming for, like, 47 seconds’ when she made her debut appearance on the podcast.
As luck would have it, the 47th stop on her recent Eras Tour was held at the Levi’s Stadium.
So many little sourdough breadcrumbs to follow!

The last Super Bowl halftime performer was Kendrick Lamar, with his appearance being confirmed in September 2024. In other words, we can expect Super Bowl LX’s performer to be announced pretty soon.
While Swifties wait with bated breath, they can at least mark another important Taylor date in their diaries.
The new album launches on 3 October 2025, with 12 new tracks from the 14-time Grammy winner.
