A representative of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has commented on allegations that the musician was caught drinking homemade alcohol in jail.

According to a report published on Friday (7 November), the 56-year-old musician was allegedly caught indulging in a concoction made from Fanta, sugar, and apples.

It’s reported that this mixture was left to ferment for a fortnight at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix (FCI Fort Dix) in New Jersey, where Combs was recently transferred last month.

TMZ claimed officials working at the prison considered moving him to a new unit, but reportedly decided to let him stay put.

In an effort to quell the rumours, a spokesperson for the rapper said: “There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs."

The spokesperson told People: “He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.”

They claimed that hearsay will probably continue ‘to surface’ throughout Combs’ 50-month sentence, which he was handed after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

"We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace," the rep added.

Juda S. Engelmayer, a spokesperson for Combs’ family, has also pushed back on the claims.

She told the Asbury Park Press, part of the USA TODAY network, that the father of seven is ‘taking this healing journey seriously and staying focused on growth and accountability’.

"His only goal is to get back to his family - and he’s not jeopardizing that for anything," she said.

Combs, who was acquitted of serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering at the end of his high-profile criminal trial in New York City in July, was originally incarcerated at a detention center in Brooklyn, New York.

He was transferred to FCI Fort Dix due to his lawyers wanting him to ‘address drug abuse issues and to maximise family visitation and rehabilitative efforts,’ according to letters seen by CBS News.

The prison, located at the military's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, is situated northeast of Philadelphia. He is among over 4,100 inmates.

On 4 November, Combs celebrated his 56th birthday behind bars.

He was reportedly offered a breakfast of fruit, a choice between bran flakes and cake or whole wheat bread, and two jelly packets, according to the prison's food menu obtained by People.

The Bad Boys Records founder then selected between chicken parmesan or a chickpea burger for lunch.

Sides included spinach and pasta, garlic bread, or whole wheat bread. He was also able to choose between a fruit and a dessert after his lunch.

For dinner, it was either cheese pizza or navy beans, which were served with Italian pasta salad, green beans, and a garden salad.

Combs is set to be released from prison in May 2028.
