Erling Haaland recently shared a glimpse into his daily diet, including his obsession with a so-called ‘superfood’ that thousands of Brits consume daily.
It’s no secret that Norwegian forward Haaland, 25, loves preparing and eating food, previously claiming he munched on an astonishing 6,000 calories one day (the average meal needs about 2,500 calories per day).
He’s famously cooked a restaurant steak himself on a night out, and recently shocked Manchester diners after turning up unannounced at one of the city’s best Chinese restaurants.
“Nutrition is easy,” he said during a new YouTube vlog, giving intimate access to his life away from the football pitch for the first time ever.

In the 26-minute 58-second clip, he takes fans through his morning food and drink ritual, as well as giving insight into non-negotiable activities he participates in every day.

After an early morning walk, the two-time Premier League Golden Boot winner dives straight into the kitchen for a drink many of us are almost religious about: coffee.

According to statistics published in August, coffee is the most consumed hot beverage in Britain, with a jaw-dropping 76 percent of residents regularly indulging in a cup of the good stuff.
Whether your tipple of choice is a decaf oat latte or a straight and strong iced americano, coffee has all kinds of benefits, including boosting energy levels, and the fact that it may lower cancer risk and reduce mortality, as per a 2023 study.
“Coffee is a superfood in my eyes, if you do it right,” says Haaland. “Why? Depends on the quality, when you drink it… I’m into my coffee.”

While many of us reach for semi-skimmed milk bought at the supermarket and heap in a spoonful of white granulated sugar, the Man City star does it a bit differently.
He opts instead for a splash of 'raw' unpasteurised milk - another product he’s hailed as a ‘superfood’ - and a dash of maple syrup. The latter, he claims, helps ‘protect the caffeine’.

The elevated cup of joe is followed by a plate of fried eggs on sourdough toast, seasoned with black pepper.

After stretching and red light therapy, Haaland goes and purchases some ‘fatty’ beef, such as Ribeye, Tomahawk, and fillet steaks from the same farmer supplying his raw milk obsession.
Unfortunately, the striker doesn’t reveal what was on the menu at the Manchester City training ground, but does give insight into what he and his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen - with whom he shares a son - would be having alongside their steaks.

Before tea, Haaland preps two of the Tomahawk steaks he’d bought earlier that day.

He then dives into a sauna with built-in red light therapy, and uses an ice bath.
Come food time, he serves up the red meat on a barbecue in his garden, pairing it with homemade potato wedges, a colourful salad drenched in olive oil, and béarnaise sauce made with egg yolk, vinegar, and melted butter.
According to the icon, steak and potatoes are a ‘big part’ of his life, claiming its because ‘he’s from Norway’.

Haaland’s down-to-earth YouTube vlog has racked up a jaw-dropping 7.1 million views since it was posted on 23 October.
Thousands of fans have headed to the comments, praising the father-of-one for sourcing and cooking his meals instead of just employing a personal chef like other Premier League legends.
One wrote: "Erling is such a great role model for the youth and everyone else who look up to him! No butlers, no chefs, no nightclub shenanigans, proper girlfriend he met before he got famous. Just a grounded down to earth life! Loving it!"
Another echoed: "No private chef, picks up his own groceries locally, cooks dinner for his family. This is what it's about.
A close-to-normal life, although being a super talented professional footballer. Well done sir. Subbed."
A third reported: “He looks goddamn happier cooking that steak than scoring in a Champion's League final.”
“Massive respect for using the local farmers,” added another.
