Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a wildly successful man. Not only is he so staggeringly huge and toned that he’s become a fitness icon, but he’s also successfully shifted his WWE stardom over to the big screen with no end of cinema hits.
To say he’s a popular guy would be an understatement; the man has 393 million followers on Instagram alone.
With so many eyeballs on him, it’s no wonder he gets his fair share of scrutiny, and so it proved when he visited an In-N-Out Burger in December 2023.
In a video posted to his Instagram account, @therock, Johnson documented his trip to the In-N-Out drive-thru where his world-renowned friendliness was on full display.

After ordering over $50's (£38) worth of grub, he has a cute back and forth with the staff who ask for a picture.
However, some fans feel they caught him out in a ‘lie’ via the video.
“My first ever @innout burger experience,” he said in the video’s caption. “Rolled up in my pick up and tried to be cool af with my order.”
“But I didn’t know the lingo, didn’t know who to pay, where to pay, didn’t know s**t, but I’m a quick study.
“Loved everyone’s positive vibes and their 'holy s**t it’s The Rock' energy. LOVED the grub.
“And love how everyone in the drive-thru looked at me like I have three heads when I give them a tip.
“Thank you In and Out for being awesome and I’ll see ya down the road.”
An innocuous and charming visit, right? Well, according to some fans, this was in fact not The Rock’s first time at the chain. If you’ve ever had an In-N-Out, you’ll know there’s no shame in revisiting the place, making the ‘lie’ all the more baffling.
“What a strange lie to tell, especially when his previous visit to In-N-Out was immortalised on social media. Like what was his goal here?” asked one baffled commenter.
“This is not the first time you’ve been to In-N-Out, Mr Dwayne Johnson,” added another.
Some dug out social media posts of The Rock at In-N-Out in 2022 and 2017, cementing the claims with some clear evidence.

In response, The Rock edited the caption and claimed he’d simply forgotten about having been before. Those burgers are so damn good that it’s hard to believe anyone could forget about them, but he’s a busy guy.
In the edited caption he said: "My first ever @innout burger experience - AGAIN. (thanks to the fans who reminded me that I went to In and Out years ago and totally forgot about it)."
Let’s hope he doesn’t forget before his next social media-backed trip to an In-N-Out.
