Anyone who semi-regularly orders food via Deliveroo, Just Eat or something similar is almost sure to have had a rogue delivery or two.
Whether it’s sub-zero fries, a missing drink, or a completely wrong order altogether, we’ve all been there.
However, the accolade for ‘weirdest food delivery’ could well go to a McDonald’s customer who received their order in a fashion you might expect from a fine dining establishment.
“McDonald’s sent me a deconstructed egg McMuffin through UberEats… and with a biscuit instead,” said the Redditor, sharing an image of the bizarre delivery.
Each component of the sausage and egg McMuffin came in its own separate box, and you’d be forgiven for not immediately recognising the egg in the box on the left.
The muffin element appears to have been swapped out for a biscuit, or a scone as they’re known in the UK.

Naturally, the McDonald’s fans on Reddit were soon on-hand to offer their two cents.
“First off that is a Sausage McMuffin with Egg,” said the top comment. “Second… okay yeah that's weird.”
The environmentally-savvy were bemused, too: “It’s a lot of wasted packaging though.”
“What a waste of materials,” added a similar comment.
Another, bemused by the deconstruction, said: “This ain’t The Bear", in reference to the popular series starring Jeremy Allen White.
Despite the bizarre presentation, some Redditors found the silver lining around the boxed egg.
“Honestly this is great,” said one bright-side-looker. “Let’s you assemble without having it be all moist and gross when it arrives.”
That didn’t quite wash with everyone, though: “Let the cheese melt on the sausage, and now we’re talking. I’m not trying to scrape cheese off cardboard.”
“The biscuits are better than the muffins anyway,” said another, to which the original poster replied: “I do love the biscuits also, it just wasn’t what I had my taste buds set for.”

It’s a fair point. If you’ve ever been given tonic water thinking it’s lemonade, you’ll know where they’re coming from.
For those unfamiliar with an American-style biscuit, one comment explained: “Ever had a scone? I've never tried an American biscuit, but I imagine they're a little like that. Sans the cream and jam of course.”
Without further qualification, one opined: “She’s a beaut.”
A former employee chimed in to add that strange order requests are par for the course.
“I feel like they had intentionally done this for someone else but must've gotten the bags mixed up,” they said. “I used to work at McD’s like 10 years ago, and I've seen plenty of weird requests before.”
A final thought for the day: “I think that is kinda cool."
