President Donald Trump loves McDonald’s, and he was at great pains to make it known during the 2024 Presidential campaign.
Appearing at a McDonald’s in Philadelphia, Trump put in a shift at the fast food joint whilst decrying Kamala Harris’s claims that she had worked at one in the summer of 1983.
Baselessly claiming that this, among other things, was a lie on Harris’s part, Trump said whilst working the drive-thru: “I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala.”

His son was on-hand to talk up the President’s McDonald’s credentials, telling Fox News that he ‘knows the McDonald’s menu much better than Kamala Harris ever did’.
Take that, Democrats!
Sadly for Trump, his claims of an out and out love for McDonald’s came under fresh scrutiny when eagle-eyed social media users spotted an unusual component of an order he ate aboard Air Force one alongside Elon Musk, Donald Trump Jr, and RFK Jr.
Mr President was sitting down to eat: a Filet-o-Fish.
It’s a controversial menu item, with plenty of users taking to X to air their grievances over the fishy burger.
“So apparently Donald Trump's Maccies order consists of a Filet-o-Fish? That right there is enough to remove him from presidency,” said one X user.
“I just found out Donald Trump eats filet-o-fish from McDonalds and like… it makes sense,” said another who, it seems, was making an unfavourable allusion.
“The fact that this President orders *two* Filet-o-Fish is, not an exaggeration, the most f***ed up thing about him,” said yet another X user. Not to call this guy out, but that might be an exaggeration.

Redditors chimed in with their own criticism of Trump et al’s meal choices aboard one of the world’s most famous jets.
“‘mAKe aMeRiCA HeAlThY aGaIn!’ as they eat McDonald’s,” noted one Redditor.
“Shouldn't RFK be eating kale or something?” chimed another.
“Can somebody please explain to me Elon’s fry eating technique?!?” said one who had noted Musk’s preference for squirting dip over a pile of chips rather than dunking them like the rest of us.
As far as Trump-related controversies go, at least this one is pretty mild.
