A massive McDonald’s has just opened, and the jaw-dropping pictures show just how seriously impressive it is.
We’re all used to spotting the golden arches on high streets everywhere, but nothing compares to the McDonald’s at Disneyland Paris’s Disney Village.
The €20 million (£17.5 million) restaurant spreads across roughly 2,000 sqm over three floors — beating the previous record-holder in Orlando, Florida (about 1,800 sqm) to claim the title of world’s biggest McDonald’s. With room for up to 600 diners, including a 200‑seat outdoor terrace, it’s packed with playful features and sustainable design touches, making it a flagship like no other.

Step inside and you’re greeted by a bright, airy space and a playful wall tracing the outline of Disneyland Paris, fitting, considering it’s in one of the most magical places on Earth. Hungry for a caffeine fix? The McCafé has you covered, including French twists like the Croque McDo for €3.70 (£3.23).

Kids are in for a treat, too: a three-story indoor play area ensures they can burn off all that Disney energy. And it doesn’t stop there: there’s a panoramic lift for a scenic ride between floors, or a curly slide for anyone who prefers the fun route down.
Ordering is a breeze thanks to 23 self-service kiosks, so you can skip the line and get back to the slide faster. Prefer a human touch? No problem. A team of 210 staffers, speaking 16 languages, is on hand to make sure every order is perfect.
This massive McDonald’s continues the legacy of the first Disney Village McDonald’s, which opened 27 years ago, proving that some classics are worth upgrading to epic proportions.

Jo Sempels, President and CEO of McDonald’s France, said: "The opening of a McDonald’s restaurant is always a significant moment for our employees, customers, and partners.”
"But today, we are reaching a new milestone with this restaurant, which showcases all our expertise in France. Our 220 employees are eager to welcome families and visitors from around the world and offer them unforgettable memories in this world of pure enjoyment. I would like to thank the Disney Village teams for this exciting collaboration on a truly unique project."

Boris Solbach, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Disneyland Paris, added: "Since 1999, Disneyland Paris and McDonald’s have built a relationship grounded in trust and a shared vision of the guest experience. The opening of this new restaurant fully supports the transformation of Disney Village through a landmark project that combines innovative architecture, high-quality hospitality, and seamless integration into the site’s universe. We are proud to continue this journey alongside an iconic, multigenerational brand that is highly valued by our guests, and to sustainably enrich the experience offered to families by making Disney Village an ever more vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring place.”
