Costco shoppers with a serious sweet tooth: the warehouse club has a treat some claim is ‘better’ than a food court favourite which recently returned.
Anyone who regularly shops at Costco will be well aware of the iconic $1.50 hot dog, $1.99 pizza slices, and, of course, the reintroduction of the fresh churro.
The latter, originally discontinued in 2024 to make way for the Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie, returned to food courts for a limited time last month just days after chief financial officer Gary Millerchip announced its comeback on a fourth-quarter earnings call.
The twisted pastry lathered in a sweet cinnamon and sugar mix is competitively priced at $1.49.

Can’t stop at just one? We have good news: packs of 30 or 50 are available in the Costco freezer section.

And rumour has it, the frozen item is exactly the same brand that they sell across Disneyland… or so the reports claim.
Costco debuts vanilla apple pie sundae
Another new food court item currently rolling out across Costco warehouses—a moreish vanilla apple pie sundae.
Costing just $2.99, the frozen delight combines creamy vanilla soft serve with apple pie filling and broken pieces of pie crust.
Essentially apple pie à la mode in a cup, the fall-inspired dessert is the latest addition to the discount brand’s rotating lineup of speciality puddings, following iconic flavours like Caramel Churro, Double Chocolate Mint, and the unforgettable Strawberry Shortcake.
“This is the most Costco thing I’ve ever seen”
Fans have been weighing in on the new seasonal icon after an Instagram user known as costco.savvy shared it on social media.
The clip prompted one Instagram user to type: “Costco knew exactly what they were doing with this one!”
A second reported: “That apple topping is doing all the convincing.”
“This is the most Costco thing I’ve ever seen, I love it,” a third said.
Others have begged that the warehouse club bring another fall-inspired sundae to the menu: pumpkin pie.
“Need pumpkin pie,” said one Instagram user, while someone else wrote: “omg yes! Love pumpkin pie too.”
“Just buy a giant pie and throw it in there lol,” another suggested.
A third claimed: “I saw a video where someone bought a pumpkin pie and took it to the food court for this. Surprised it’s not a logical menu addition.”
Meanwhile, some shoppers claimed the apple pie would have been much better if it included a drizzle of caramel.
"I didn't like it. It needs Carmel and a different kind of crumple [sic],” one claimed.
A second added: “With a yummy caramel drizzle would be lovely.”
So, will you be picking up one of the brand new vanilla apple pie sundaes from the Costco warehouse?
