Top British chains handing out A Level and GCSE results day freebies

A-Level and GCSE results days are on the horizon, and there is a handful of chain restaurants offering freebies and absolute steals to honour students’ achievements.

On 13 and 20 August, the likes of PizzaExpress, Bella Italia, Nando’s, and Byron Burger are setting up for bustling days with free appetisers, main menu favourites, and even 2-4-1 deals.

We’ve scoured the internet and found 19 of the best bargains for you and your family to take advantage of, regardless of what's written in your exam envelope.

Pizza Express

Pizza Express restaurants across the UK are putting on Bottomless Pizza on results day.

For £12.50, students and their families can eat all the pizza they can in a continious period of 90 minutes.

Choose from the Margherita, American, Giardiniera, La Reine or Sloppy Giuseppe Pizzas.

The offer also included Bottomless Dough Balls.

“You will receive your first portion alongside your first pizza; request additional portions with our team as and when you have finished your Dough Balls,” as per the website.

Itsu

Customers heading into Itsu on results day can bag themselves a free tray of steamed chicken or vegetable gyozas.

Head into your local store with a copy of your results, along with proof of your name, and you’ll be eating well shortly after.

Nando’s

Fancy a cheeky Nando’s this August?

The revered chicken chain is offering school and college students a free 1/4 chicken or a starter of their choice.

To make good on the offer, you just need to spend £7 or more, order at the till, and have your results and student ID to hand.

Byron Burger

One of the best deals this results day can be found at Bryon Burger, with the chain offering 2-4-1 burgers with proof of results.

Burgers on offer include the Double Smash, Chicken Ranch, Signature Smokey and V-Rex, all of which are priced at £14.50, according to Bryon Burger’s Instagram page.

Bird & Blend

Toast your success with a delicious Iced Bird & Blend matcha latte.

On 13 and 20 August, students can head into their local store and show their ID.

Amazingly, teachers can also cash in on the deal worth £5.25, with the company calling the freebie a ‘thank you’ for all their hard work.

Las Iguanas

Fancy a Mexican feast this summer? Las Iguanas is offering qualifying customers with exam results a free starter and dessert with every meal.

Make sure to sign up for a voucher ahead of time and bring your slip in to qualifying restaurants.

Banana Tree

Adults purchasing a main meal at Banana Tree on 13 and 20 August will be able to grab a free starter and a free dessert.

Simply sign up for a voucher and bring your exam results with you when you visit Banana Tree.

Everyone dining who has signed up, has a valid voucher and can show their exam results can claim the offer with the purchase of an adult main meal, as per the brand’s website.

Bella Italia

The Class of 2026 can pick up a free starter or dessert with every main meal at Bella Italia this summer.

Unlike many other offers, the whole table can enjoy the deal.

Head to the official Bella Italia website to claim your voucher and remember to bring your exam results with you when you visit.

Not available at Centre Parcs locations, London Paddington, or Edinburgh Northbridge.

Zizzi

The first 50 students to enter a Zizzi’s establishment on results day can claim a free classic pizza with the purchase of a soft drink.

Items included in the offer are: chicken and pesto, goats cheese and caramelised onions, pepperoni, ham and mushrooms, vegan margherita and a classic margarita.

If you don’t make it in time, then don’t worry — the Italian restaurant chain is offering eligible students the chance to bag 50 percent off a classic pizza until 5pm when purchased with a soft drink.

Anyone who recently sat their A-Levels and GCSEs can grab a free dessert at Bill’s on 13 and 20 August.

Frankie & Benny’s

Whatever the result, celebrate or commemorate at Frankie & Benny’s this summer with a free starter and dessert with every main meal.

Sign up on the website, bring your unique code and your exam results, and you will be able to make good on the offer.

Giggling Squid

Described by The Argus as one of Brighton’s ‘biggest hospitality success stories’, Giggling Squid is on hand to make a moment out of results day 2026.

Famous for its Thai tapas and succulent seafood, Giggling Squid is offering students free portions of Sticky Chicken when dining in.

All you need to do is buy a main dish and show your exam slip.

Kaspa’s Desserts

On A-Level Results Day and GCSE Results Day, teens can grab 40 percent off all Kaspa’s Desserts meals when spending £20+ in a single transaction.

The promotion is valid on 13 and 20 August 2026 from store opening until 4pm. Students must present a valid student ID and their 2026 GCSE or A-Level results at the till.

Ask Italian

After a results day bargain? Look no further than Ask Italian.

The chain will give you a main meal on the house as long as the adult you are dining with answers an English, Maths, or Science GCSE-style question correctly.

If they get it right, then a free meal is coming your way.

Answer wrong, and they will have to foot the bill. They will also receive a complimentary glass of prosecco or a non-alcoholic alternative.

Rosa’s Thai

Rosa’s Thai is celebrating students this August, offering a free Pad Thai on GCSE and A-Level results Day (13 and 20 August).

You need to be willing to purchase a bubble tea and bring your results down to your local eatery to make good on the deal.

Vegetables, tofu, chicken or prawns can be added to the dish, with prices usually starting from £13.85.

Almond Family Pubs

Anyone who lives in the North West of England can head into an establishment run by Almond Family Pubs and claim their free main meal on A-Level and GCSE results day.

Pubs running the offer include: the Flectchers Arms in Denton, Jolly Sailor in Davenport, Offerton’s Puss in Boots, The Station House in Cheadle Hulme, and Romiley’s Spread Eagle.

The free main meal is available with the purchase of one other full-price main meal by a fellow diner. Don’t forget your results!

Showcase Cinemas

Money Wellness and which? has reported that Showcase Cinemas across England and Wales will offer a free small ICEE slushie for students.

To claim yours, you need to show your results to a member of staff.

Enjoy while watching new flicks like The Odyssey or Spider-Man: Brand New Day, both starring Tom Holland and Zendaya.

Wildwood

If you’re a student who is lucky enough to live in the vicinity of one of 26 active Wildwood Restaurants in the UK, then this could be your go-to freebie spot this August.

Bring your exam results or a valid student ID card, and you’ll be able to cash in on a free starter and a Coke Zero.

If you have more of a sweet tooth, then you can swap the appetiser for a dessert instead.

There is no minimum cash spend, but you do need to purchase one full-price main course from the Wildwood à la carte or Special menu to unlock the free items.
