Erling Haaland has never shied away from promoting good food, having previously revealed the meal he calls the secret to his success and the cuts of meat he favours to fuel hard training sessions.
The 25-year-old has already opened his account at his very first FIFA Men’s World Cup by slotting two past Iraq in Norway’s emphatic 4-1 victory earlier this week.
And not only is he currently in the running for the Adidas Golden Boot beside the likes of Argentina’s Lionel Messi, England’s Harry Kane, and Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, but he has a fair chance of bagging the top prize if Røde, Hvite, and Blå manage to notch up victories against Senegal and les Bleus in the coming days.
When not playing beside the likes of Martin Ødegaard, Haaland stars at club level with Manchester City, with whom he clinched the FA Cup and the Premier League Golden Boot last season.

And what keeps the robot ticking? Coffee, whole foods, and a special dish knocked up by his famous father, apparently.
Late last year, the Man City star uploaded a WIEIAD (what I eat in a day) vlog to YouTube, featuring him picking up tomahawk steaks and unpasteurised milk from a local farmer.
The video also saw Haaland digging into fried eggs on toast for breakfast, meat and potatoes for dinner, and waxing lyrical about coffee.
“Coffee is a superfood in my eyes, if you do it right,” he stated. “Why? Depends on the quality, when you drink it… I’m into my coffee.”

The star tends to add a drop of maple syrup to his daily beverage, claiming it helped to ‘protect the caffeine’.
Before hitting the pitch, Haaland eats lasagna made by his dad, former Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, and City icon Alf-Inge ‘Alfie’ Haaland, 53.
“That’s true, yeah,” he confirmed. "I score goals from it, so we have to continue with it."
In 2022, former City manager Pep Guardiola joked that he wanted the footballer’s father to cook the Italian-inspired dish for his entire squad if it really was the secret of his son’s success.
“We can make an offer so Erling’s father comes to cook for us. If this is the secret of Erling’s goals I’m going to convince [chairman] Khaldoon [Al Mubarak] to bring him here! But I think there’s not only one secret,” he said in 2022.

In the same year, former Norway international Jan Age Fjortoft told talkSPORT: "I spoke to Alfie again yesterday, because I said 'you have to do this cook book now in England.
“But we had Alfie before the game [Manchester derby] and he said he was doing his lasagne.
"I knew about that and then suddenly he [Erling] scored three and straight after the game I start getting text messages from people asking, 'Can we have that recipe?'"
The father-of-one has previously explained that he always tries to prioritise whole foods, choosing ‘real’ items with the least ingredients as possible.
“We’ve got so much processed things in this world right now. So I think that’s a thing to eat real and quality, of course,” he explained on a podcast.
"The better food you put in your body, the better you’re going to get things out of the food," he added, "and performance as well."
In his YouTube vlog, Haaland admitted that he’s obsessed with fatty steaks.
"Ribeye, Tomahawk, obviously. One of my favourites is short rib. It’s amazing,” he stated.

In the 2022 documentary, Haaland: The Big Decision, the striker was seen carrying beef heart and liver.”
"People say meat [is] unhealthy. Which meat?,” he said, explaining how the health benefits of eating popular fast-food items, like burgers, and meat from a ‘local cow’ differ.
On grab-and-go items, Haaland admitted he loves indulging in the odd kebab pizza.
"I never eat it, only on special occasions," the City No. 9 said. "Maybe once a year, if I’m lucky."
