Jason Biggs has revealed the heartbreaking 'vodka trick' he would use at parties to conceal the extent of his drinking from those around him.
The American Pie star, who has been sober since 2017, recalled some of the ways his addiction would make him behave.
Biggs shot to fame with his starring role in the hugely successful movie American Pie when he was 21 years old.

He would go on to have roles in My Best Friend's Girl, Saving Silverman, and Orange Is the New Black.
The actor has now recalled how the speed of his rise to fame due to American Pie led to him developing big problems with substance abuse, including alcohol and cocaine.
Sadly, addiction can often result in people taking extreme steps to conceal their behaviour from those around them, and Biggs revealed he had done just that.

In a recent interview on The Blocks Podcast with Neal Brennan, he recalled a 'vodka trick' where he would make people think that he was only on his first drink of an evening.
But in reality, he would be sneaking upstairs where he would drink vodka straight from the bottle to get enough of a buzz to get through.
He said: "My alcoholism was the kind where... let's say we were having a party. I would drink myself upstairs straight from the vodka bottle, just enough to get by buzz on that I could go down to the party, then have a beer in my hand and everyone else would think [I was on my] first beer, beer number 1, but I'm already buzzed enough to where I could sort of hang and party."
Sadly, it wasn't just alcohol that Biggs struggled with, as he also developed a problem with cocaine.

Speaking to the Well with Arielle Lorre podcast, he said that his new found celebrity meant that no-one would tell him 'no', a factor which enabled his addiction.

He explained: "I knew where to hide, how to hide, I knew when I would need to call the coke dealer because I was going to drink too much."
Biggs even revealed that he had known the right quantities of other drugs to take in order to come down from a cocaine high without dying.

One one occasion, his addiction had led him to take more extreme steps.
Remembering one occasion, he said: "I was doing cocaine by myself in my house, and I did what I said was the last line."
Biggs said he had thrown what cocaine he had left in the bin, but sadly his resolve did not last long.
He conitnued: "Within 15 minutes, as soon as my last bump is wearing off, I’m like, 'What am I doing?' I go into my trash and I take it out and I do a line."

Fortunately Biggs was able to get the help he needed and has now been sober for eight years.
