Chef Buddy Valastro has confirmed his final surgery after suffering a horrific injury in a freak bowling accident.
The chef, who is known for his role on TV show Cake Boss, suffered the gruesome injury in 2020 and has since required a whopping five surgeries to help him recover.
Buddy had been fixing the pin setter on his home bowling alley when his hand was impaled on a steel rod.
To make matters worse, the hand that was injured was Buddy's dominant hand, meaning he couldn't do the more intricate decorations on cakes following the injury.

After having emergency surgery following the incident, Buddy has since been slowly recovering, claiming that he had regained '95 percent' of the strength in his hand and could decorate once again.
He told his followers about the upcoming surgery in a post to his Instagram page.

He said: "Today is my last day of work before I get my fifth and final hand surgery. I got a lot of my strength back. I feel good. I can decorate, I can do anything."

The chef went on to explain that although he has most of the strength and dexterity back in his hand, when his injured hand is at rest it is in an unusual position.
Holding up the injured hand, he showed the position, which had his index finger out at an angle from the other fingers.
Referencing the 'live long and prosper' Vulcan hand gesture from Star Trek, he said: "The only thing is I'm kinda like Doctor Spock and I don't wanna be."
The problem, he explained, was with his middle finger.

"My hand after the accident was swollen and the tendon healed on this side of the knuckle, which is making the finger bend to the right," he explained, indicating the side of the knuckle between his middle and ring fingers.
He continued: "So the doctor is going to open up and move the tendon over the top, this finger [his middle finger] is going to be straighten out, and I should be back to normal.
"I don't know if I'm ever going to be a hand model, but I should be back to normal I won't be Doctor Spock no more."

Trying to slowly stretch out his middle finger, the chef then joked: "The only problem out of my whole surgery is it's hard for me to give the middle finger. No more on this side."
He added: "It takes long but I can get it."
