Jeremy Clarkson has revealed his Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper kicked out a customer after they seriously messed up answering a simple question.
Turns out, curiosity doesn’t just kill the cat, it can also kill your lunch plans. And now, the former Top Gear presenter is sharing all the details on the struggles he faced when opening his pub The Farmer’s Dog, including a funny moment with a customer.
The 65-year-old decided to open a new pub close to his Oxfordshire farm, but there have been some obstacles, as seen on his TV show. One such mishap was a patron being ejected.
In his most recent book, Diddly Squat: The Farmer’s Dog, Clarkson revealed what happened when the establishment opened its doors.

While the finishing touches were met with multiple costly decisions, Clarkson said the process of opening the doors for business came with unforeseen challenges.
He decided the pub would have a distinctive feature, an upper-level bar solely for agricultural workers.
“Many had asked how we’d be able to tell. Ha. Because you just can,” he said.

And this policy was soon put to the test during the trial opening when a customer, who appeared to be wearing the appropriate attire for that section, and made his way upstairs.
“His wardrobe was pretty convincing,” Clarkson said. “But his shoes were wrong.”
As many people know, some establishments will have dress codes; others just have silent judgement.
Clarkson, however, decided to test the customer. “I asked him, 'What's glyphosate?' He said, 'Weedkiller,' and I let him past. But Kaleb still wasn't convinced."

Kaleb Cooper, 27, then asked another question: “How many acres are there in a hectare?"
When the individual faltered and guessed: "Er... twelve?"
And then Cooper responded: "Out.”

Clarkson revealed that not long after this happened more issues arose: "The water had run out, the power was flickering again, and cooking had stopped. It was our opening day, and it wasn't an opening day at all."
But the situation has since improved, though Clarkson warned: "Your lunch, if it arrives at all, is costing us a lot more than it's costing you. So please be kind."
Clarkson previously opened up about one of the challenging elements of owning a pub, making it clear it's not all glamour.
Customer behaviour in the toilets of The Farmer's Dog is apparently not very good, as Clarkson said: "The the thing that baffles me most of all is, forgive me for this, but people go to the lavatory, sit on it, and then somehow miss the bowl, and I cannot understand how they're doing it."

He then quipped: "And apparently, you're not allowed to put CCTV in the cubicle, so we'll never know."
Clarkson then went on to express how baffled he is at people's ability to somehow create such a mess in a cubicle.
He added: "But it's just I think 'how have you got it all over the floor and up the walls?' There's a lot to infuriate me."
